I invite you to join me at Rancho La Puerta from September 27-October 4, 2025 for a week of self-care and rejuvenation. This event is just what the doctor ordered during this era of uncertainty: a time and place to pause, pivot, and engage in the healing work that will transform you into a new and improved version of yourself, one who is better equipped to live peacefully and intentionally in the present moment. Serving as a member of the Ranch's guest faculty, I will host several workshops based on the stories and wisdom found in my book, Pearls from the Practice of Life: a family physician's guide to struggle less and thrive more. Together we will explore the adaptive perspectives, choices, and habits that will comprise the makings of your metamorphosis. You will emerge from this experience more connected to what matters to you, and with renewed hope for humanity.
Tucked away in a fertile valley at the base of Mount Kuchumaa, Rancho La Puerta provides an idyllic setting to reflect on who you are and who you aspire to be in the world. My workshops will dovetail nicely with the Ranch's comprehensive wellness offerings which include:
• Three meals a day plus snacks and beverages. Cuisine is lacto-ovo-vegetarian.
• 50+ daily activities such as hiking, yoga, trail running, arts & crafts, dance, HIIT workouts, and inner journey classes.
• Use of the fitness and spa facilities including 11 gyms, four outdoor pools, a running track, a Labyrinth, a reflexology path, tennis courts, steam rooms, saunas, and more.
• Programs and lectures featuring world-renowned artists, musicians, authors, physicians, psychologists, life coaches, astronomers, and philosophers.
